Eric Gillie Ltd was formed in 1975 by Eric and Jane Gillie, with one second hand horsebox. As the business progressed and workload grew, an additional vehicle was added. The business is now into its 3rd generation of family and in 2020 we celebrated our 45th anniversary in the transportation of horses nationwide.
In 1987 we had our first new Oakley horsebox bespoke built to our design enabling us to transport the equines in the most safest and reliable way. Knowing of Oakley’s reputation in horsebox design and build we could not go past them and now after many years we still have our horseboxes built by them knowing we will have peace of mind with the product they supply!
The business is still very much a family affair with Eric and Jane now taking a back seat ,handing the reins over to sons Michael and his wife Karen organizing loads and Alan driving one of the flagship vehicles.
